TANZANIA & ZANZIBAR - SAFARI AND ISLAND EXCURSION
Tanzania is home to the Serengeti National Park, or “the place where the land runs on forever.” The Serengeti ecosystem contains hundreds of animal species including lions, cheetahs, zebras, elephants, giraffes, gazelles, wildebeest and many more. Come with us to meet the semi-nomadic Maasai people who have held onto their traditional way of life, despite being moved from their homeland. You will see the breathtaking beauty of the vast grassland plains, woodlands, and savannas. You will also be immersed in the diversity of animals, plants, birds, and trees on this breathtaking safari adventure.
Zanzibar, an autonomous region of Tanzania, is a group of islands located in the Indian Ocean. The main industry is the production of spices, consisting of black pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg, hence the nickname the Spice Islands. Zanzibar hosts a cultural mix of Africans, Arabs, Indian, Persians and Europeans. The people of Zanzibar are ethnically diverse with Swahili (Kiswahili) being the official language, just as it is in Tanzania. However, Arabic, English, French, and Italian are also spoken due to colonization by the Europeans and Arabs. Being near to the equator, the islands are warm year-round. Miles of powder-white sand beaches and warm crystal-clear turquoise waters are what makes Zanzibar a favorite tropical paradise with tourists.
